Few bands ar as committed to their discipline matter as Sweden's Arckanum, whose interestingness in the pagan ‘old ways' of their Viking ancestors and open worship of the God Pan top mere curiosity towards filmy fixation. Going so far as to compose his dark melodic invocations in ancient Swedish, Arckanum's founder (and normally alone lease extremity), Shamaatae first broke cabbage with elves and trolls in 1992, simply only obtained a record address with Necropolis Records iI years after on the force of the 15-song "Trulen" demo. A right debut, 1995's Fran Marder (substance "From the Forest") followed, and its primitive black metal orchestrations provided a trying on background to Arckanum's eccentric lyric musings -- as did conceptually continual followup efforts, 1997's Kostogher and 2000's epical double disk Kampen.
