Formed from the remnants of a hard-core band named Eclipse, in the far-northern Swedish town of Umeå (as well home to avant-hardcore masters Refused, and alloy extremists Meshuggah and Naglfar), Cult of Luna have perfected an elaborate, super dark, progressive expressive style of metalcore for the most part derived from the pioneering act upon of America's Neurosis.
