A one-off, back-to-basics smutty alloy roundabout way for the members of Portuguese gothic metal kings Moonspell (whose first few efforts had in fact delved in bleak metallic element), Daemonarch was besides conceived as an outlet for singer Fernando Ribeiro's teen poetry and ongoing studies in the occult. Here vocation himself Langsuyar, for maximum smutty alloy roleplaying legitimacy, Ribeiro called upon his Moonspell colleagues Ricardo Amorim (guitar), Sérgio Crestana (basso), Pedro Paixao (keyboards/samples) and, interestingly, no drummer, to work on Daemoarch's hitherto merely album, 1998's Hermeticum.
