Shut Your Eyes And You'll Burst Into Flames are another band who have called it a day, following the footsteps of the recently split Help She Can't Swim, Mumm-Ra and Cutting Pink With Knives.

The Leeds band posted the following message on MySpace, explaining all:

"So we split up. We always said if one of us wanted to move on then that would be the end and unfortunately that time has come. Without the five of us in a room, hammering our influences together, picking over the smallest of details and arguing about genres it just wouldn't be the same."

"I think it is safe to say we are all gutted it didn't work out. We never really got to grips with certain aspects of the music industry and in the end that stopped us from progressing as far as we would have liked."

"Some good friends of ours have offered to release the last batch of songs we recorded � hopefully we'll confirm the details of that soon. Also on the way will be a bunch of new projects and possibly a new band, again more on that later."

Thanks to everyone that listened, all the bands we played with, all the friends we made along the way � it's been an amazing experience. Shut Your Eyes and You'll Burst into Flames x"
