Verne "Mini Me" Troyer Sues Over Sex Tape

Verne Troyer and his mini-me are suing a celebrity website after they showed a snippet of a homemade video featuring the Austin Powers actor engaging in sexual acts with his former girlfriend Ranae Shrider.

The diminutive actor/comic has filed a $20 million (£10 million) lawsuit against TMZ, accusing the site of violating his rights by publishing and airing extracts from the film.

In papers filed at a Los Angeles court, Troyer claims that screened footage "infringed on his copyright and trademark by running portions" after it ran parts of the tape on its site, according to the website itself.

TMZ also claim Troyer alleges the site violated "his right to publicity and misappropriated his name and likeness."

The footage features the star and a former girlfriend at his apartment, and reportedly ended up in the hands of sex tape specialist Kevin Blatt, who brokered the deal for Paris Hilton's infamous sex tape One Night In Paris.

Troyer alleges the tape was stolen. Blatt is also named as a defendant in the suit, according to website.
