The music, dance and unearthly liberal arts of the wandering gypsies of the Thar abandon of Rajasthan in northwest India are brought to the concert point by Jaipur-born tabla role player Hameed Khan and his group, Musafir. Their concerts are multimedia system celebrations that include puppets, gyration dancers, snake River charmers, pyrotechnicians, Manghanian poets and mind-boggling fakirs wHO balance on carpets of nails and broken glassful. India Weekly described one show as "a brilliant merge of traditional Rajasthani push pleasing acts".


The word of a professional musician, Khan began his melodic life history shortly after moving to France in 1984. Broadening his melodic scope, Khan collaborated with a diverse change of musicians including Najat Aatabou, Vishwa Mohanbhatt, Lakshmi Shankar, Chico Bouchikhi, Thierry Robin and Lo' Jo Triban and Trio Erik Marchand, a group that encompassed French, Breton, Arabian and Rajathani influences.


Elysian to explore his possess melodic tradition, Khan formed Musafir (translated as "The Wanderers") in 1991. In accession to his work with Musafir, Khan continues to serve as artistic theatre director of Jaipur Brass Band.
